Portland’s resident experimental pop group, AAN, has been constantly self-releasing albums since forming in 2008. However, their new 2014 LP released on Party Damage records. Their new LP, “Amor Ad Nauseum” is expansive sounding, heavy guitars with folky vocals. The Northwest sound is alive and well in AAN, you can listen and purchase their album at their Bandcamp.

Odesza is the mastermind of Catacombkid and BeachesBeaches and is currently on an almost all sold-out tour in North America. On “Without Your Love” the production team perfectly crafts chillwave with dream pop, all while sampling Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used To Know”. It’s the song to bring the summer weather in, roll down the windows and take the music in, and then check out their website.

With minimalist, dark R&B beats, Wet‘s new self-titled EP is stunning everyone. From their questions on self worth in regards to playing Candy Crush to their retweets of Google Facts, Wet is soon going to stun everyone. “You’re The Best” is haunting and sexy and while completely tamed there is something chaotic about it. Do yourself a favor and buy their EP on Bandcamp and maybe groove out.
RIYL: Vancouver Sleep Clinic, James Vincent McMorrow, James Blake
Whenever true rock ‘n roll is released, the result is riotous and there is no exception to The Preatures. Coming from Australia, singer Isabella seems like a 70’s rock ‘n roll legend, she emits the cool sound and forces any listeners to pay attention to her. Along with the controlled raucous of guitars, it’s impossible to not gyrate your hips at some point in “Is This How You Feel?”. The band’s new EP is available now, preview it on Soundcloud.
